We have stayed in many different Pali Ke Kua units over the years and they are all beautifully situated, but we so enjoyed the view from this 2nd floor condo - a perfect place to watch sunsets, surfers and whales. Some of the furnishings in this unit are not as nice as in the photos, but the beds were comfortable and the unit is well stocked with kitchen and beach gear. 211 got warmer than other units we've stayed in so we made use of the air conditioner upstairs and night, but there were instructions not to open the louvered shades in the upstairs bedrroom, which was unfortunate as it would have allowed the room to cool down more naturally. Kauai Vacation Rentals are always responsive, helpful and professional.

Incredible views from lovely unit. Advantage of having 2 beds in the secondary bedroom for vacationing with 2 adult sons. PKK grounds are immaculate and perfect for short strolls. Lawn in front of units lovely to watch the sun set. Pool was very nice.

Overall the place was wonderful.
House: (8.5/10) The airconditioners water containers have to be emptied regularly. Not a big deal, but the guest bedrooms AC unit would fill up within a few hours, so leaving it on while sleeping was asking for water damage. Luckly we didn't really need any AC.
Neighborhood: (8.5/10) Beautiful, quiet, and has plenty of ammenties.
The North shore: (9/10) Yes, swimming is nearly impossible on the beaches here in December with the exception on Anini beach (Must be cautious here as well, because there are undertows that are not visible.) Even not being able to swim, the beaches are breathtaking and not overrun with tourists. The south shore was much more crowded. The area was beauftul and much more natural the the southern region and had significantly less traffic. You do need a car rental if you plan to do anything on the south shore because it is a bit of drive to go from the North to the south.

Great view - as pictured. Clean, fairly comfortable condo. Received a credit for days the pool was closed due to maintenance.
Unfortunately the a/c units (one in each bedroom) were extremely loud and inconvenient as accumulated water needed to be discarded. We wouldn't ent this property again - for that reason.

Loved our 12 night stay at Pali Ke Kua 211. Beautiful views and sunsets from condo and grounds. Great location to seeing sites such as the Kilauea Lighthouse, 1Hotel, Anini Beach, Hanalei Beach, restaurants, shops and good grocery store, Foodland. The condo was clean,comfortable and met our needs. The restaurant on site called Hideaway Pizza was a great surprise with really good pizzas and fresh salads plus full bar. Very convenient after watching another magical sunset.
Kauai Vacation Rentals were easy to work with. They helped us when we had trouble with WiFi and cable in the unit. Would recommend using this company for your condo needs.

Unit is comfortably furnished, with the only improvement suggested is that it could use chair cushions (we bring our own and the great staff at the office stores them for us). We stayed in July 2024 this year and August last year. The unit has A/C in the bedrooms, but this year we never needed it and in 2023 we only used it on the first and last day while unpacking/packing. A great thing about this unit is the frig as both an ice maker and a cold filtered water dispenser. Perhaps the best part of staying at PKK is the beach at the bottom of the cliff if you are willing to make the hike. Saw 1-2 turtles each time snorkeling and also a Spotted Eagle Ray. This unit faces west, which gives a good view of the sunset from the lanai. The tradeoff is the sun shines directly into the unit in the late afternoon unless the curtains are closed.

When looking for a vacation rental on Kauai, we knew we wanted to stay in Princeville at Pali Ke Kua. These condominiums are primarily oceanfront, and the views are amazing. We also knew that we wanted to rent from Kauai Vacation rentals, a very reputable long-time company. We looked over all the listing pictures to pick the perfect condominium. We wanted the second floor, a certain view and attractive comfortable furniture and bedding. We picked PKK 211 for these reasons. However, the condominium we picked was not furnished as pictured. At first, we thought we were in the wrong unit, but we were not. It was disappointing. We felt that it was untruthful advertising. We had a few other issues regarding getting the three televisions and their remotes to work. We bought new batteries for two remotes and the remaining remote was replaced by the management.
One thing that would really improve the guest experience would be to have an informational folder in the condominium. It could contain instructions for the kitchen appliances, TVs, and TV’s remotes. Also, including some restaurant menus and suggestions for activities on the island would be helpful.
Overall, this condominium is comfortable, and the views cannot be beat.

My family of 4 just returned from a week in this wonderful condo. Everything about this property met or exceeded our expectations. Check in was super easy and we arrived to a spotlessly clean condo. There were beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, a cooler and ice packs in the unit which we put to good use. The beds were super comfy, the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make a variety of meals at home, and my kids loved the property's pool, which is 100 yards from the front door of this unit. There is also a path down the bluff directly in front of this unit to a secluded beach with incredible snorkeling. We rented snorkel gear for all 4 of us for the week from Pedal and Paddle in Hanalei and it was only $67! The only drawback for me was (due to property rules) there was no grill available to cook on.
You can't beat the location of this unit. Both within the property with the view from the lanai, and it's location on the north shore. It's super convenient to get to Hanalei and points further west, and we routinely hopped over to Kilauea for restaurants and shopping. Highly recommend Kenji Burger, Sushi Girl, Java Kai and Kilauea Bakery. We also found the Kilauea Market had better prices and better fresh foods than the Foodland in Princeville.
We have only been home for a few days, but my whole family is already looking forward to booking another stay here.

Beautiful little condo in probably one of the best locations on the island. Well maintained and spacious. we stayed here with our two little girls over christmas and everything was at our fingertips. In December and most beaches were pretty treacherous for little kids but we managed to find a calm beach with paved public access next to the hanalei bay hotel. what a dream. we spent a lot of time there. we rented a car and all the places we wanted to visit were a quick drive away. Would definitely stay here again.

The property was excellent and everything was as shown and described which was great! We had ample space and amenities! Overall a great experience. The unit was clean but lacked a few things such as shampoo, smaller bowls for snacking, more towels for the kitchen, some cushions for the sofa, and a good recycling container. None of this was a big deal but suggesting things for the rental company to consider.

The view from the condo is much more stunning than the pictures! We saw many people walking to the outlook nearby to watch sunset while we had our own front-row seat! We also thoroughly enjoyed watching the antics of the nene on the grounds below us.

The view and the path to the beach below are top features. This unit is among the best at Pali Ke Kua and includes a number of upgrades. The dutch door refrigerator (with ice maker) works very well with the narrow kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked, and if anything, it could use a lettuce spinner and pizza baking pan. The unit was well-cleaned on arrival. The Kauai Vacation Rentals team was easy to work with and helpful, such as ensuring that bed sheets were 100% cotton. While the bedrooms have air conditioning, we found we only used it the first night (unit was very hot from being closed) and the final day while packing.

We had a great trip to Kauai. We stayed in a property managed by Kauai Vacation Rentals. The property description was accurate. It was clean and well maintained. Picking up the packet in Lihue was easy. The owner had a bunch of packages delivered during our stay. We called KVR and they sent someone to take the packages away for safe storage. We also contacted KVR for a late check-out; and, they were accommodating to our request. We will consider staying in a KVR managed property in the future.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Pali Ke Kau. Check in was extremely easy. Everything we expected was delivered as promised. The unit was super clean and well laid out. The view from the main floor was spectacular. Lots of light and furnished with all amenities needed. There were four of us with plenty of room to move around. Nice size bedrooms and private bathrooms. Without hesitation, we would pick this unit to stay again. Kauai Vacation Rentals was easy to work with and very professional.

Paradise is the best word to describe our stay. The unit was beautifully located overlooking the bay. The sounds of the waves were amazing. The only thing missing was a beach umbrella which we invested in and left as a donation for future guests. Other than that, it was magical.

This unit has one of the most beautiful views on the island, overlooking Hanalei Bay and Makana (Bali Hai). The moon splashing silver on the water, the beautiful sunsets with constantly changing colors illuminating the clouds, the ocean coming in and out. Magical. Building 2 is the best in Pali Ke Kua. And the unit has been updated with granite countertops, new stainless appliances, updated decor. Just a very special experience.

Lovely apartment with the perfect view. Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable furniture and beds, big TV. It was great to have air conditioning in each of the bedrooms. Perfect location with 3 nice beaches in walking distance (though steep paths/stairs). Spent a day in Hanalei and one at Ke’e Beach and with the road closure their were far fewer people. Heavenly!

My husband and I had a marvelous 10 days here in April. The condominium was clean and comfortable, with high-end fixtures and kitchen things. The view from the porch (where we ate all our meals and watched every sunset) is spectacular. We were there when the road to Hanalei was under post-landslide construction, and yet still managed to go to that part of the island 4 times. Great location!

Enjoyed the view, the location, watching the sunset, kitchen was well equipped, had a washer/dryer. It was a very comfortable condo rental. The view was incredible, it was well supplied. We used the beach chairs and the beach towels. We enjoyed surf lessons at Hanalei and took a helicopter ride!

Fantastic location for exploring the North shore. Amazing views and the condo was exactly as pictured with everything recently renovated. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Beach chairs, towels, coolers, umbrella...the unit had it all. There isn't AC which was a concern since my husband has asthma. We didn't need it or miss it at all with the trade winds. The owners also left "starters" for toilet paper, paper towels, coffee filters, and laundry detergent. They left so much we didn't even need to shop for any which was great!

This was an anniversary trip for the wife and I. I wanted to make it special for her by having tropical flowers and her favorite drink there waiting on us after a long day of traveling there. So I called the KVR office to seek assistance. I spoke to Vicki who gave me the number of a concierge. I called and spoke to Emma, who was very helpful and knew the exact rum (Koloa Gold) and mixer (Kukui Mai Tai) I wanted. I also described the floral arrangement I knew my wife would want to see. Emma happily agreed to get everything and work with KVR to get them into the condo. After spending almost 20 hours in transit (from our home's front door to the door of the condo), we were exhausted. I let my wife walk in first as I held my breath. She excitedly said "Look what's here!" Sure enough, Emma had the rum, mixer, and large tropical flower arrangement as promised. My wife was very happy. As a secondary surprise for my wife on another day, I also arranged through Emma for a private chef. There is no better view at any resort.
