We have stayed in many homes in Kauai and this home was our favorite. We prefer to experience real life on the island and this home offered nothing but that. No air conditioning, no problem. Just walk across the street and take a dip in the ocean! Duh! The home was very comfortable, inviting and clean. The location is top notch. For our family of 4 it was perfect. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with our family. And for sharing your families story of this lovely abode! The management team is super communicative and friendly. We will be back!

We had a wonderful trip. I would stay here again but if you want something fancy this house is not for you. You are getting one of the best prices in Hanalei and there's a reason for it. The house needs work. The Mattresses are new but the rest of the house is not and because the house isn't raised it can get hot because there isn't much breeze.

A wonderful time was had by all. The Pauole home is so cozy & comfortable. It really feels like home. Everything one would need for a relaxing & enjoyable stay. Plenty of room (inside & out) for families to have a fantastic vacation. And the best part is how close it is to the beach (the beach path is steps away) & close enough to town, you can leave your car at the house & just walk whenever you want to head into town. Quiet & peaceful (not to mention the roosters & chirping birds to start your day in the traditional Hanalei way;). This our go to place to stay when visiting Kauai!

Modest but comfortable and clean house. Great location. Everything worked. Roosters crowed all night (as they do in Hanalei), but halfway thru our stay the next door neighbors had someone remove a flock (?) of them nesting trees/brush, which quieted things down (thank you, neighbors!). We've rented in Hanalei many, many times and would return to Pauole.

Absolutely loved our stay at Pauole! Everything was clean, kitchen was well stocked including some seasonings and even Tupperware which was very helpful. The views from the backyard are amazing, you can see waterfalls out the window, and helpful having the yard gated so kids can safely run around. Boogie boards, umbrella, 6 beach chairs, and even floats and sand toys were available. Location can’t be beat. Walkway to the beach is right across the street, and it’s a less crowded part of the beach since the public parking lot isn’t too close by. Communication was great, quick responses to any questions I had along the way, and when the road to Hanalei was shut down on our arrival day due to flooding, the vacation rental company reached out to us to offer an alternate accommodation in princeville, and stayed in communication after hours so we weren’t stranded. Would absolutely stay here again, and definitely will rent through Kauai vacation rentals in the future!

This house, while sparse, is so perfectly located that it is a not-to-be-missed rental. While being incredibly close to the beach, it's also a super close walk to town. I wish I could be there right now.

We had a wonderful stay at Pauole house in Hanalei. Wonderful location with beach access less than 100 steps from the house. Backyard was extremely spacious with amazing views that we will never forget. We have already decided that there is nowhere else we would consider staying when traveling to Kauai. The one thing that could be improved is the queen mattress/box spring in the secondary bedroom. Other than that, everything was perfect

This house is basic but comfortable and as clean as you can expect for an old beach house. Furnishings could use updating, but the space was perfect for us. Two twin beds in the side bonus room allowed all 3 kids to have their own bed. Great yard with no house behind and view of mountains. Grab an avocado from the tree if you can reach it. Location can't be beat, cool beach access path right across the street 2 minutes to the sand. 5 minute walk going the other way to get to restaurants/shops. There were beach chairs, umbrella and 2 boogie boards. Kauai vacation rentals were responsive to our requests. Would stay here again.

Wonderful stay in Hanalei! Just what we wanted for our needs. Not fancy but everything works and it's a very practical home for life by the beach. We particularly liked the outdoor showers, lanai, extra beach chairs and umbrella, boogie boards and other leftovers that guests have donated. Don't expect luxury living as the home itself has a practical and basic interior. Nothing wrong with it at all but just something you should know in case you like more luxury. The biggest plus of this property is its location with a path to the beach right across the street. Look forward to coming again and enjoying the home, sizeable yard and 'Scott' the Rooster who patrols the garden and gets you up early for your day.

This is a great house for enjoying all that the North Shore has to offer. We found the location to be perfect for going to the Hanalei Bay beach just steps away and also for checking out town. So nice to be able to leave the car behind when we wanted to and to also be able to explore the relatively quiet North Shore beaches and other attractions like Limahuli Gardens. House is well appointed with everything we needed to make meals there when we wanted. Bed was comfortable and indoor and outdoor showers were great. Towels and beach chairs and boogie boards were more than enough for our needs. Nice to have w/d too. Overall a great house.
