I love the area. We were walking distance from coffee, snorkeling, shopping, and restaurants. The condo was clean, but outdated. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and we would do it again.

Very easy pre-stay arrangements and arrival. We have stayed in the area a number of times, very much preferring it to the cramped warren of condos in Princeville, or the places along the East Coast that do not have access to any nice swimming areas. Easy enough to drive up to Hanalei or Kialia if we want to surf or enjoy a long beach, but from the unit in Prince Kuhio, we can just walk across the road for excellent snorkeling or just a morning & evening swim.

We stayed at Prince Kuhio #320 in late Nov/early Dec 2024. The condo was very clean,comfortable, and spacious. The Prince Kuhio property is beautifully kept and landscaped. It may be an older condo but it has obviously been well maintained. The location made it easy to walk to various restaurants (1/2 mile hike uphill). The building was very quiet during our stay apart from the chickens in the park next door - if you are a light sleeper you may want to bring earplugs as roosters will crow at any hour of the night - not just sunrise. But it did not bother us. Really liked the layout of the condo as it was easy to have privacy if wanted. Sure,some of the sinks and fixtures could use updating but they were very clean so if that's important to you spend more money to stay elsewhere. The tile flooring in the living room/bathroom and the wood laminate in the bedroom were in great shape and easy to keep clean. The kitchen was well stocked with the basics.Overall it was a great home base for us. We would be happy to stay here again.

We were immediately thrilled by how clean and comfortable this condo was. We appreciated the accuracy of the listing, which allowed us to plan around what would be available. The only downside was that the electrical oven and stovetop stopped working during our stay and could not be fixed in time, so we had to throw out some food we had planned to cook. We would love to return to this spot in the future!

Everything was perfect! It was super easy to check in at the office. It’s really close to the airport and right next to Walmart if you needed to pick up anything. Once you get your keys , you head to the rental. It was so nice having a parking garage to park in. Kept our truck covered and it’s in a great safe location. The condo was perfect. It was much larger than I thought. The living room is nice with full window walls that looks over the condo garden. The room has a king bed with also full window walls and a balcony. It looks over prince Kuhio historical site and she ocean view ! There were 100’s of green parrots that flew in the large tree in view from our room. It was spectacular . The condo has everything you need! Fans , snorkel gear, coolers, towels, and more. It was very comfortable and very spacious for two people. The beach house restaurant and snorkel beach is right across the street. Your parking is the same parking area as their valet. So getting dinner there is very convenient. We had electric bikes we kept in our truck at night with no issues. We buzzed around town in the bikes and were able to get anywhere we needed really easy. So fun ! It was perfect . We highly recommend this spot and the service with the rental company is just wonderful. Gloria is so sweet :) it was nice talking with her .

We have stayed at the Prince Kuhio a few times and really like the location. Great view of the ocean from lanai. Value is always good. Unit 320 could use some updating (especially the carpeting in bedroom), but overall it was clean and well stocked. Enjoyed having the beach chairs and cooler. Pool is great!

Prince Kuhio was the perfect location. The amenities were perfect and the property was clean. The customer service was phenomenal and they even were nice enough to let us have a later check out. Our condo was perfect and had everything we needed. We loved snorkeling and Poipu beach was fantastic. My boyfriend planned a surprise proposal on Tunnels beach as well! We did a helicopter tour and spent a ton of time at the beach. We already miss Kauai and it was a trip we will hold in our hearts forever!

Spacious condo. Needs some updating! Matress not too comfortable. Some of the dishes were dirty. Coffee mugs were chipped on the rims. We packed light knowing that we could do laundry in the condo, but the washer was broke and we had to hand rinse and ring out.Manager sent a repair man, would of been nice to know and maybe been compensated. Dryer had a bunch of sand in it so we vacuumed it out. Filled out the questionnaire and never heard anything back for the same comments.

Our apartment was pretty run down. A closet door came off when we opened it. The front face of a kitchen drawer came off after a few days of opening it. Screens on the bedroom windows kept falling off. The bed had a raised bump right down the middle so each side slanted down to the edge. The drier vent had no cover so when you used the drier, it blew the air and anything else right into the apartment.
Could REALLY use a cutting board. You are setting yourself up for damaged countertops without one.
Overall, things are run down. Broken tiles, cracked baseboards, missing parts on screens, etc. I'm not someone who complains generally, but it was the "quantity" of issues that made me write this review. There were two other parties with us and both of their apartments were in notably better shape than ours was.
Here's the "general" good: There were nice beach chairs and a rolling ice chest (but after reading the guest log, I see that those were all purchased and left by previous guests). The grounds of the property are actually quite nice. Pool area and surroundings are lovely and well kept. BBQ area is a great thing to have. The folks at Kauai Vacation Rentals are willing to do whatever, whenever, and make it SOOOO easy to get your keys and paperwork. Sunset watching is right across the street and is beautiful.
Here's the "general" bad: It's noisy!! Neighbors sneeze and you hear it. If they sit out on their balcony, you might as well be sitting with them and joining the conversation. LOL. Roosters and birds are loud but I think you would have that anywhere on this island.
Would go back to Prince Kuhio but not to this apartment.

Prince Kuhio unit 320 has a great Po'ipo location in the south end of Kauai'i. Just the right size for the two of us. The lanai has a great view of Prince Kuhio Park and ocean view. The property is clean and well-maintained. Also included covered parking. We like this location because of the great beaches and it's centrally located to things we like to do. We also liked the built-in washer/dryer. Would have like a dishwashers and maybe a larger TV. Overall a great little condo.

Spacious third floor unit with a great view of the park and ocean. We enjoy an upper floor for a better view, and don’t mind climbing a few flights of stairs for the access. Cooler, beach chairs, umbrella, and plenty of towels to make your stay great. An array of small appliances if you happen to enjoy making your own meals or drinks, which we ate out which is our preference while on vacation. Would definitely stay again.

When I arrived on 11/4/21 and attempted to turn on the lights at the switch next to the front door, nothing happened. No lamp or switch had power to it. A neighbor helped me. I am not sure what he did but when I returned about 5 minutes later, the lights were working. After a 19 hour journey to get to Kauai from home in Maryland, that was very discouraging.
But, the views and breezes were wonderful. I had a very relaxing stay in this unit, which was well appointed to enjoy all of the outdoor activities available.
I could not get a signal to the TV in the living room. I followed the directions but kept seeing a "no signal" message on the screen. It didn't bother me because I preferred to watch any TV on the bedroom TV.
But, the views and breezes were wonderful. I had a very relaxing stay in this unit, which was well appointed to enjoy all of the outdoor activities available.

Loved it, as always. We try to visit Kauai every year since our wedding and have stayed with Kauai Vacation rentals. This year we were unable to stay in our usual condo so we switched to a similar condo on the third floor (same layout). Of course there were differences, pluses and minuses, but we couldn't be happier. Having a washer/dryer in the unit was a huge bonus. There was not a dishwasher but it wasn't needed. Now we have two options that we know that we fully enjoy. Even during the restrictions imposed by COVID, we were content and had even more time to enjoy playing in the ocean. Highly recommended.

Snorkeling at your doorstep

Perfect location and with easy access to everything we needed. Enjoyed the short stroll to the beach at Prince Kuhio where we were able to snorkel and the pool that was in the complex. While there is no AC, the unit being on the top floor has very good ventilation. I would thoroughly recommend this unit, and would definitely stay here again if I am fortunate to return to Kauai.

It was our first time visiting Kauai. Poipu area on the South Shore was recommended to us by friends. We were very happy with #320 Prince Kuhio. We loved how much room the large condo had and all the extras that just added to our experience, like lawn chairs, umbrellas, and coolers. The location was great also and just across the street from a great snorkel spot. We ate at The Beach House restaurant which is also right across the street from the complex. We would definitely recommend Prince Kuhio and hope to return to Kauai our self someday too.

Your amenities are superb. The cross ventilation in Room #320 is outstanding; the room is appointed well with washer and dryer that work; easy instructions for the television; a super comfortable bed. We also loved the parakeets at dusk and early morning, and the great sunsets. It is wonderful being in this place, in this time. We would definitely love to be in #320 again!!!!
