Anini Beach is known as one of the most protected beaches in Kauai, thanks in part to the two-mile-long fringed reef that runs the length of Anini Beach. Hawaii's longest reef, it creates an ideal, calm spot for children to swim and play in the water. A sandbar extends deep into the ocean and makes for a great place to wade or fish. Shell collectors love this beach as an immense amount and variety of shells are found along the shoreline.
