Description

This serene estate is named Hululani, or "Heavenly," for its pristine beauty. This truly fabulous home has awesome, panoramic views of the mountains, Bali Hai and Hanalei Bay from virtually every room as well as from the private, saline swimming pool. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac, this home's peaceful and serene surroundings let you fully enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean and Kauai's tropical birds.

We have a property manager(Thames) who lives across the street who will do a meet and greet, give you tips on nearby sights and cooking as well as solve any concerns that arise.

As soon as you enter, you will understand this is an unforgettable home. Magnificent views through floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors will captivate you . . . the high ceilings add an extra dimension to the elegance of Hululani. Throughout this 4,500 square foot, two-story home are beautiful furnishings and thoughtful amenities that were carefully chosen for your comfort and convenience. Air conditioning, Mexican tile floors and clever use of marble throughout are among the numerous features that guests really appreciate at Hululani. Upscale landscape lighting allows you to enjoy the gardens well into the evening.

Every room looks out at spectacular views through many huge windows. Step out to the lanai and pool area for a refreshing swim, to luxuriate in your private hot tub or simply relax in the gentle breezes coming in off the ocean. The outside shower and half-bath are a wonderful convenience when you're lounging outdoors or by the pool.

The second living room, or "view room," upstairs gives you large windows at several angles from which to admire nature's splendor and is a wonderful place to watch sunset's colorful skies and enjoy each other's company. The wet bar makes it easy to prepare your favorite tropical beverage while the adjacent game area with its card table invites bridge games and other friendly competitions. On the second level are two master suites with private lanais.

On the main level, there is another master suite, as well as a bedrooom, an office, and a large living/dining room that opens to a covered gourmet BBQ area outdoors. The main level has a large, gourmet kitchen with slab granite counter tops and new appliances as well as many conveniences desired by the most celebrated chefs. The chef in your family will most assuredly delight in preparing favorite recipes here. You may wish to check out Kauai's sunshine markets for fresh, local produce.

Our property has an abundance of great fruits such as papaya trees, Tahitian lime, Meyer lemon, avocado as well as oranges. Feel free to harvest the fruit before the birds consume them. Lots of flowering trees are accentuated by over 60 orchids, white, pink and red gingers as well as heliconia and sitacorams to make your own tropical arrangements.

Hululani is such an excellent choice for your stay on Kauai. You may never want to leave! However, should you decide to venture out from your private paradise, there are many fine restaurants, shops and activities in the area as well as picturesque beaches and spectacular sights island-wide.

Activities nearby include: hiking, biking, golf, tennis, fishing, wildlife viewing, horseback riding, boating, sailing, surfing, windsurfing, shelling, rafting, shopping, cinemas, seasonal swimming, snorkeling, diving and a fitness center.

Our family of 6 adults enjoyed this beautiful luxury home. Situated in the residential Princeville area made it perfect for walking and accessible to nearby resorts and beach. The kitchen was extremely well appointed, same for bathrooms, beach towels, games, movies. Very pleased with the check-in process. Must give shout out to property manager Thames!! You are the best!

A very welcoming, exceptionally well-equipped house, secluded on a cul de sac, with fine views, a good swimming pool, spa and gas grill. Not the most modern and you have to drive (short drives!) to beaches, but highly recommended.

Highly recommended for two families getting together with tons of room for the kids to play and explore. Our crew of 8 with 4 kids had a great time at Hululani. The layout of the house made it never feel crowded with 2 families. It has all the amenities you need if you plan to cook at the house along with a tons of beach supplies in the garage. The pool in the back of the house with tremendous views of the mountains behind Hanalei cannot be beat.

We were well taken care of. Our property manager was proactive, clear, and always responded to my inquiries promptly. The house looked like its pictures. The beds were comfortable, the place was clean. There was some minor problem with hot water on one side of the house.

The view from the back yard is, indeed, spectacular. We loved watching the sunset each night.

Princeville and Hanalei are close by, but a car is absolutely necessary.

We absolutely loved this beautiful estate! The home is lovely, plenty of room for our family of 8 to spread out and relax! Beautiful pool and hot tub and the property is lovely! Waking up to that view every morning was so special! So convenient to beaches, restaurants, shopping and more! Played lots of ping pong and bocce ball. Kitchen was very well equipped and lots of beach equipment! We would love to come back! Thank you!

This was our 2nd stay at Hululani. We usually prefer to try new places, but we loved Hululani so much our previous stay, it was our top choice for returning!

The home is clean, spacious & easily fit our group with 3 en-suite bedrooms for the adults & 1 large bedroom for the kids to share. The large kitchen & BBQ area are perfect for meals at home, the house is well-stocked with everything you need. Having an extra fridge in the garage & an outdoor shower to wash off sand was SO handy!!

The pool area is fantastic with stunning landscaping & gorgeous views! The upstairs lanai’s & living room have amazing sunset views! This house is a perfect home base!

My only recommendation is to convert the door locks to key pads so that the need to stop by & pick up / drop off keys is eliminated.

The property management group was beyond responsive and accommodating to us and the airline changing flight times for our arrival AND departure. The house was beyond the description and the grounds were exceptional. There was six of us staying there and we commented we felt we had room for double that. Fresh lemons, coconuts, avocados, papayas and oranges to pick right in the yard! The pool and hot tub were perfect and the water gardens, grounds and lawn were perfectly maintained. The "rule book" for the home is pretty detailed. You could get caught up in the details but if you basically treat the home as you would your own, all will be well. The property managers next door checked in with us, were responsive to any need and even brought us fresh avocados from their yard. The big bonus was the beach equipment of umbrellas, chairs, snorkels and wake boards all there for our use. Perfect home for us, we plan to return!

We have been lucky enough to rent Hululani multiple times and each time has been wonderful. Most definitely our favorite vacation rental. Perfect for a family reunion and is just a very special home. Too many amenities to list and if there are any problems, Thames is a great property manager. Have been renting from KVR for decades and always appreciate their help and aloha hospitality.

We have stayed at Hululani multiple times and already booked for next summer. By far the most wonderful home we have ever rented. Spectacular view, wonderful pool, hot tub, AC, and great, thoughtful amenities. Owners have provided every thing for a perfect family get together. Great house and lovely gardens with an incredible mountain view. Nice kitchen and bedrooms and very comfortable.
But as a "luxury estate" things were lacking.
Property manager (not KVR) was unresponsive to requests and the house is showing age as things were broken or not usable. Hot tub out for the whole stay, A/C was sporadic and kept having an error, and when we opened windows a number of screens blew out and flew away! Internet was not strong enough for multiple people doing remote work/school and did not work at all in farther away master suite.
Overall however we really liked sitting outside and had a very nice time, would have been 5 star if issues could have been rectified. Pool is mighty cold in April and was counting on hot tub!

This house is by far the most stunning home I've ever stayed. Views of Bali Hai from every room. Rainbows and waterfalls, gorgeous landscaping, a fabulous pool and private hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked with all necessary amenities. They even provided a citrus juicer to make fresh squeezed orange and grapefruit juice. A dream come true!

This was the most perfect rental imaginable. The house was so spacious, gorgeous, and the views - well no words can do them justice. We had high expectations based on the pictures and in reality it far exceeded them - beyond our wildest dreams. Not sure how we could ever visit Kauai again and not stay in Hululani!!

During our Long awaited and much needed family vacation, we enjoyed the home in every way! Nicest vacation rental we've ever had, just a dream!

The master suite, family room, kitchen we widely need and the pool and view are one in a million! 

We chose to stay in a vacation rental so for ten days we convinced ourselves we just live here and this is our new live now, ha ha. 

It is truly heaven on earth and we're not sure it's possible to top.

When we come back to Kauai, this is the only house we'll ever stay in!

This was our third stay at the beautiful Hululani. This trip was extra special. We were celebrating a 50th birthday! 

The home is well appointed with everything you need. And the views are included! The pool area is where you will find yourself spending most of your time. BBQ, lounge chairs and a patio set are there waiting you. 

The pictures the owner has posted are a peek in to what this home has in store for you. We're already planning next years trip.

Just returned from Kauai and miss Hululani already. Family was attending my younger brother's wedding at the St Regis. The home was very well equipped and ample allowing for privacy; every little item we needed, it had. And I appreciated the modern fridge and the outdoor BBQ. Its truly a unique setting and I'm grateful to the Thames (prop mgr) for working with us, and for the owners for the opportunity to make our family's stay in Kauai the best experience for everyone. I only regret not using the pool more often. We are definitely looking forward to our next return.

This was our second stay at Hululani. The location of this house is perfect. The house is fully appointed. The views are spectacular! 

The home is a described. You will feel like your home the minute you arrive. The house is at the end of a quiet street. There is a neighbor who also looks over the house. He’s very friendly and will quickly go over the somethings to make your trip more enjoyable. 

From the large kitchen, beautiful family rooms, of which there’s two. The comfortable bedrooms. And of course, the reason you come to Hawaii, the beautiful outdoors. This house has its own private pool and spa. And the views from the pool area are spectacular! You will definitely fine yourself spending most of your time in this part of the house. 

There’s grocery shopping five minutes away in The Princeville center. Along with other fun places like Lappert’s Ice Cream. Hanalei town is a quick 10 drives away. And the St. Regis Princeville is just down the street. 

This property was the first time we’ve ever vacationed in a home like this. This was our 2nd trip to Hululani. And as I write this we’re planning our 3rd trip for next spring!

We loved everything about this property!! Due to everything that it had to offer, we ended up spending more time there than we anticipated. The 9 of us were sad when we had to leave. The owner, Kauai Vacation Rentals, and Thames were so gracious and so helpful which made our vacation a huge success.

We have been renting from KVR for over 35 years and Hululani is one of the best ever. The house had wonderful amenities, beautifully furnished, amazing view, great pool and Air Conditioning! Hululani is fantastic. Home is super comfortable, peaceful with lots of common area and large bedrooms. Wifi is terrific as is cable TV.

Our family was so "at home" at this beautiful property. The setting was stunning, The attention to detail for guests of this home, and the service from Kauai Vacation Rentals, made our stay stress free. The home is stocked with everything one needs for a relaxing visit. Everything for Beach outings or picnics, Laundry facilities, Kitchen needs, beautiful and comfortable bedrooms. This is an awesome house and property. The location is in a great spot and the views are wonderful!!! We had a family mix of 8 of us, 6 adults and 2 kids. This house by far gives you privacy yet togetherness. We stayed there for 7 days and wish we had more. There is nothing lacking in this house, except that the air conditioning was out in the top two bedrooms, which was okay as some nights were just perfect without it. It did not ruin our trip. We loved the pool and the land and went for walks to the beaches and also walked up to the local ice cream parlor. The location cannot be beat with the views and the privacy. Mr. Day has a local neighbor checking in and going over the uses of the house. Very nice touch!!! I love how there is respect for the house with notes around to remind us of getting sand off and taking off shoes. Also, the lights are labeled which is a huge help. Our family was blessed to have had the opportunity to stay at such a wonderful home. Thanks to the owners for allowing us to share their piece of heaven!!!

This by far has been the best vacation that my family and I have had. There were six of us and there was more than enough room for everyone. The house is awesome and the amenities, neighbors, and location in my words is by far the best place to stay on the Island. We were there for 9 days and by the last day we felt like locals! We will go back! Best feature for us was the backyard, pool, and surroundings, we started our mornings by the pool and ended our evenings by the pool. Also there are beaches all around you.
